HROne review: our verdict
Based on HROne's documentation and pricing page, HROne is the pick on our lists when payroll has to flow into Tally or an ERP. It ranks #4 on our HRMS list at 7.6/10 and #4 on our payroll list at 7.7/10.
Basic costs ₹4,950 a month for up to 50 users, then ₹99 per extra user, billed monthly from go-live with no lock-in. Professional costs ₹6,500 a month for 50 users, then ₹130 per extra user, and adds confirmation, transfer and separation workflows. Enterprise is custom and is where recruitment, performance, engagement, expenses, assets and the helpdesk sit. With 18% GST, Basic comes to ₹5,841 a month. One warning: the pricing FAQ quotes ₹85 and ₹115 per user, which does not match the plan cards. We use the card figures. Get the rate in writing, and note the two months' notice needed to exit.
The payroll page covers all ten items on our core payroll checklist. It lists PF with ECR files and VPF and pension splits, ESI files, state-slab PT, LWF where applicable, TDS by the chosen regime, Form 24Q and annual Form 16. Journals post to Tally, SAP (Business One, R3 and ByDesign), Oracle, QuickBooks and Microsoft Navision, which is the widest accounting and ERP list we found in this category. Attendance supports geo-fencing, selfies and offline punches, and works with ESSL, Suprema and ZKTeco devices. WhatsApp and Teams bots are add-ons.
On data, the payroll page says HROne is hosted on AWS Mumbai and lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 and a DPDP Act statement. The home page mentions Azure instead, so confirm the hosting region. Support hours and channels beyond email are not published, and the trial length is not stated.
Our view: HROne suits multi-entity firms of 50 to 1,000 staff whose accounts run on Tally, SAP or Oracle and who want payroll data held in India. If performance reviews must come at a published price, Keka or factoHR are easier to budget. If you have fewer than 20 staff, a 50-user base price is hard to justify.
