Based on Odoo's documentation and pricing page, Odoo ERP software is the most modular suite on our ERP list: accounting, inventory, manufacturing (MRP), purchase, sales, CRM, POS and HR are separate apps that share one database, so you can start small and add apps later. It ranks fifth.
Its Indian localisation is one of the most complete we read. Odoo's India documentation covers GSTIN checks, NIC e-invoices, e-way bills (including from Inventory), GSTR-1 upload and GSTR-2B reconciliation, and TDS/TCS thresholds. MRP with BOMs and work orders sits in the same subscription as accounting, which few tools here offer.
Pricing is where Indian buyers should be careful. The One App Free plan lets you run a single app, such as Inventory, for unlimited users at no cost. Paid plans include every app. When we opened odoo.com, including its India page, it showed only US dollars: Standard at US$31.10 per user a month billed yearly (US$24.90 for the first year), about ₹2,954 at ₹94.97/$, and Custom at US$61.00. We could not confirm what an Indian buyer is billed in rupees, so our Value in INR score is capped and this profile stays out of search results until we can.
Other trade-offs: support is email, 24 hours a day, five days a week, in English and European languages; India is not a named Odoo Online hosting region; and Studio, multi-company and the external API need the Custom plan. Most SMEs also pay a partner to implement.
Choose Odoo if you want one system from CRM to manufacturing and have a local partner. Choose ERPNext for a similar scope without per-user fees.
