sumHR review: our verdict
Based on sumHR's documentation and pricing page, sumHR offers one flat annual price per employee and little else in the way of plan tiers. It ranks #10 on our HRMS list at 6.2/10. The low rank is about missing information more than missing features.
The HRMS subscription costs ₹1,428 per employee a year, about ₹119 a month, or ₹1,685 a year with 18% GST. No minimum headcount is published, which helps a startup with 8 or 15 people. A setup fee applies, based on headcount, and biometric integration carries its own fee; neither amount is published. The pricing page also describes volume and startup discounts. There is a free route: sumHR is powered by Jupiter Money, and the HRMS is free if your staff take Jupiter salary accounts. The eligibility rules and limits of that offer are not published.
On features, the payroll page names PF, ESI, PT and TDS challans, Form 16, and Tally and Excel export. Attendance works over the web, biometric devices and the mobile app with GPS geo-tagging. Performance covers OKRs and 360 reviews, and expense claims are included. The Android and iOS apps are listed on the home page, along with SSO and e-signature support.
The gaps are what pull the score down. sumHR names no security certification and does not state where data is held, so it scores the default 4.0 on security. LWF is not mentioned. Support is reachable by phone and WhatsApp on +91 77188 73534, but hours are not published. The legal entity, address and founding year are not on the pages we read. Integrations beyond Tally and Excel export, biometric devices and SSO are not named.
Our view: sumHR suits a startup under 50 staff that pays annually and wants a single per-head price, or a team that is happy to move salaries to Jupiter accounts for the free plan. Buyers who need a named certification, published support hours or LWF handling should start with greytHR, factoHR or Kredily.
